Nima Kanchha Sherpa– Managing Director
Meet Ngima Kancha Sherpa, but goes by Nima affectionately. He is from the Sherpa community in the Solukhumbu Everest region of Nepal, and like most of the Sherpa people, has grown up in the shadow of the most famous mountain in the world. The ancient culture of the Sherpa people has allowed them to thrive in this extreme environment and call it home. Nima now resides in Lukla, where almost all Everest Base Camp treks and mountaineering expeditions to the Everest region begin. His journey as a guide began as most Sherpa’s do, working as a Support staff. For two years he worked and focused on learning all he could so that he could be promoted to porter/ guide. For another year, again with the drive to continue his education he worked to be promoted to guide. The next two years he worked in independent guiding all the while studying, learning and growing. Nima now has over 12 years’ experience in the guiding industry and brings this hard-won work ethic to our team. It is his greatest pleasure to provide you with the utmost care and give you the best service for your trekking or climbing aspirations.

I had started hiking and trekking at the age 12, and I have never stopped since that time.
Soon I became a guide and a tour organiser. I developed the tour programs and guided people in various countries.
India, Nepal, France, Italy, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, the UK, the USA, Russia – these are the countries, where I led the groups in skiing, hiking , kayaking, trekking tours as well as study visits for environmental education professionals.
My first visit to Nepal happened in 2005, I fell in love with the country and its people. I made friends and built connections with locals, visited and explored multiple treks and major sites in Nepal, mastered some Nepali language skills. Thus, I can’t stop coming and follow my passion to share my love to Nepal with other people.
I serve as a group leader and a connector for Russian-speaking people who come to Nepal.
I help tourists to connect with locals and understand cultural context better.
I advise on choosing the route, planning your itinerary, health, and safety issues.
My education in geography, coaching and psychology plus my experience allow me to enrich the tour programs with diverse activities, excursions and practices. For example, there might be mindfulness, self-coaching, physical exercise and even learning to cook added to your trekking!
