Overview

Everest Base Camp Trek via Salleri is an exceptional trek to the base of the mighty Everest (8848m) which covers the diverse culture and landscape of the lower as well as the upper Khumbu region. This classic trek features the trail used by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa during their expedition in 1953m, which resulted in the first successful summit of the highest mountain in the world—Everest (8848m). The 19 days Everest Base Camp Trek via Salleri takes you through the quaint paths of the lower Khumbu region to the bustling trails of upper Khumbu, allowing you to notice the difference in the way of life of the Sherpa community. Starting from Salleri in the lower Khumbu region, the trek moves on through several villages to join the main Everest Base Camp trail in Namche Bazaar, the commercial hub of Khumbu and also the Gateway to Everest. The trek features a short visit to Tengboche Monastery, the largest and the most sacred monastery of the region, and moves on through steep forested trails and
stony moraines to reach Everest Base Camp. Standing on the foot of the massive Everest (8848m), you can get an astonishing view of various peaks of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range, including Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Pumori (7165m), and so on. The trek also features a short hike to Kala Patthar to witness an enchanting sunrise over the world’s highest peak. The trails take you through Buddhist settlements, where you can see many colorful prayer flags wrapped around houses, monasteries, prayer wheels, and suspension bridges. Day 02 :

Drive from Kathmandu to Salleri

Today in the morning you will drive from Kathmandu to Salleri by Jeep ,The overland journey is exciting with beautiful landscape, mountain scenery, and natural beauty. It has many ups and down through the countryside including some bumpy. While driving from the place called Pattale Village at the elevation of 2,840 meters, you can have views of Mt. Everest, Mt Makalu, and other peaks. For the lunch, you will be stopped at the highway restaurant. Then continue drive to Salleri.

Day 03 :

Drive fom Salleri to Tham Danda and trek 2 hours Puiyan

From Salleri, the next destination is Tham Danda, which is a popular viewpoint in the region. The best way to reach Tham Danda is by by drive. This drive will take you through lush forests and beautiful landscapes and take around 6 to 7 hours.after arrival Thamdanda trek 2 hours walk 2 hours to Puiyan 2700m

Day 04 :

Puiyan to Phakding

The trail goes through the Jungle with Bamboo bushes descending to the small settlement of Burke Village. Where Pasang Lhamu Sherpa (the first Nepalese woman to climb the summit of Mount Everest 22-April-1993) was born on 10th December 1961 in Sukre village. Now, the trail goes to the north a large scattered village with fertile land and gets to Chaurikharka, a monastery, and a high school. Chaurikharka (2,694m) is known as the bread basket of the Khumbu area due to the growing of sufficient barley, wheat, and enough green vegetables. The trail continues upwards high above the Dudh Koshi River to the Phakding (2,610m) via Chheplung and Ghat. From the Chheplung, you will see more trekkers fly to Lukla heading to EBC and coming back from the Everest Base Camp trek complied. The trail is quite busy with trekkers, porters, and Yaks. Stay overnight at Phakding 2610m.

Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization day trip to Everest View Hotel

As we begin to walk, we will notice Thamserku (6608m) rising over the valley. Continuing to walk

alongside Dudh Koshi River, we will enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo. During the season, the

trail is covered red in color due to the rhododendron blooms. We will then make a steep ascent through

the forest to reach Namche Bazaar, the tourist hub of the Khumbu region. Here, we will get the jaw-dropping panorama of the mountains such as the Khumbila (5761m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m), and Kangtega (6685m). Overnight in Namche.

Day 07 :

Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization day trip to Everest View Hotel

Today we will explore Namche, the famous town of the legendary Sherpas, and its outskirts. We will start

the day with a morning hike to the Everest View Hotel (3880m), which is the highest-operating hotel in

the world. As we sip our tea sitting in the hotel, we can witness a breathtaking view of Mount Everest

(8848m) along with several other peaks of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range. After spending some time

at the hotel, we will hike back to Namche and visit the Sherpa Museum to get acquainted with the Sherpa

way of life. Overnight in Namche.

Day 08 :

Trek to Tengboche Monastery

The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche follows the Dudh Koshi River until Phunke Tenga, from where we will make a steep ascent in the Imja Valley alongside the Imja River to reach Tengboche. Famous for the Mani Rimdu festival where monks dance in masks to wad evil, Tengboche Monastery was built in the early 1930s and is considered the most sacred place of the Sherpas. The monastery has colorful Mani walls that have sacred prayers and texts inscribed in them. From the monastery, we get a panoramic view of the mountains such as the Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Ama Dablam (6856m), and Thamserku (6608m). Overnight in Tengboche.

Day 09 :

Trek to Dingboche

It is a gradual uphill climb from Tengboche towards Dingboche. Walking above the gorge of the raging Imja River, we pass through the villages of Pangboche, Somare, and others, and cross several suspension bridges above the deep gorge of Imja River to reach Dingboche. Accompanied by the views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Taboche (6367m), Nuptse (7861m), and so on, we pass many Mani walls and monastery before reaching Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche.

Day 10 :

Trek to Lobuche

A steep uphill climb through the ridges will take us to Dughla from Dingboche. Although sparse in vegetation, the trail offers gorgeous views of several peaks of the Khumbu region. As we leave Dughla, we will reach a memorial ground lined with Chortens of adventurers who passed away in the region while trekking or during expeditions. We will then climb on the lateral moraines of Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche, from where the views of the high Himalayas, including Everest (8848m), look mesmerizing. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 11 :

Trek to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and back to Gorakshep

Starting the day early, we will continue to climb on the moraines on a rocky path to reach Gorakshep. Then we will ascend on the new moraine route, maintaining the pace and walking cautiously, to reach Everest Base Camp. On rocky, snow-covered grounds, we will be able to see many tents and camps set up by different expedition groups with Everest (8848m) towering over them. From the base camp, we will have a stunning vista of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7865m), Khumbutse (6665m), Lingtren (6749m), Pumori (7165m), and several other peaks of the region. After spending some time at the base camp, we will return to Gorakshep for some well-deserved rest. Overnight in Gorakshep.

Day 12 :

Morning hike to Kala Patthar 5,545 m descend to Pangboche 3,900 m

We will start climbing up to Kala Patthar before dawn so that we can witness the best sunrise view in the world. Kala Patthar is the ideal vantage point to witness the grandiose of Everest (8848m) and its surrounding peaks whose majesty is amplified by the pinkish-orange rays of the rising sun. After relishing the view from Kala Patthar for some time, we descend to Gorakshep and then to Pangboche. Overnight in Pangboche.

Pangboche trek to Namche

Taking in the beautiful sight of Ama Dablam (6856m), we make our way to Namche. We will cross Dudh Koshi River many times as we trek through the villages of Tengboche, Phunke Tenga, and Sanasa to reach Namche Bazaar. We can relax at one of the restaurants in the bustling town to celebrate our successful trek. Overnight in Namche.

Day 14 :

Namche Bazaar trek to Lukla

In the morning, we will leave for Lukla and this will be the last leg of our trek. We bid farewell to the beautiful Namche Bazaar and head down on the familiar paths through the lush forests of rhododendron and oak to reach Lukla. We will have plenty of free time in Lukla to explore the small town and interact with the locals. Overnight in Lukla.

Early morning flight back to Kathmandu

If the weather is clear, we will be returning to Kathmandu today via a scenic flight. The flights are susceptible to being canceled due to the unpredictable weather of the Himalayas. On reaching

Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel and spend the rest of the time as you please. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16 :

In Kathmandu spare and contingency day with the optional tour.

Today is a spare day for contingency. In case the flight from Lukla was canceled the day before, we will be taking the flight today. However, in case we’ ve arrived in Kathmandu as planned, today will be a free day that you can spend exploring the capital city. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 17 :

Depart for international flight homeward bound or to respective countries.

Airport by one of our Everest Himalayan Treks, 3 hours before your flight to return. We hope you had a great journey to Annapurna Base Camp(ABC) with the wish of seeing you soon, we wave you goodbye. And if you have a longer vacation and want you to welcome to have another trip.
