The trip begins with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport and then you will be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Kathmandu to Lukla by Flight & trek to Phakding

Early in the morning, our company van will take you to the airport. From the airport, you take a scenic flight over the mountains to Lukla. After some rest at Lukla airport, you start trekking to Phakding. The trek starts with a descent to Dudh Koshi River from where the wider trail leads you to Ghat then to Phakding. Overnight at lodge.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

You walk along the shores of Dudh Koshi and cross many streams on exhilarating suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags. Up ahead, you reach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park and then make a tough climb high above the river to Namche Bazaar. The national park is home to the plethora of flora and fauna and you will be greeted with the amazing bio-diversity while towering mountain peaks loom on the horizon. Overnight at lodge

Acclimatization Day

You have reached the high altitude in a short period of time so you take this day for acclimatization. There are many restaurants, cafes, bakeries, hotels, and monasteries in Namche which you can explore. You make a visit to the nearby museum which reflects the Sherpa culture, their lifestyle, and heritage.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

From Namche, the trail passes through yak pastures before reaching Kyangjuma and then descends to Dudh Koshi. You can get great views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Lhotse Shar (8393m), Taboche (6367m), and Thamserku (6608m) along with other mountains in the Everest range. You cross the suspension bridge over it and then ascend through the pine forest to reach Tengboche. In the evening, you can visit the Tengboche monastery which is the largest monastery in the region. Day 6 :

Tengboche Mani Rimdu Festival: first day

Today is the first day of the Mani Rimdu festival. You head to the monastery where the monks practice dance and provide blessings. The ones attending the ceremony are given pills for longevity, prosperity, and peace. This is known as the Wang blessing ceremony. You can enjoy the festival and take pictures to capture the unique celebrations.

Tengboche Mani Rimdu Festival: second day

This is the main day of the Mani Rimdu festival which starts from the October full moon. After breakfast, you visit the monastery and witness the mask dance “Cham’’ along with fire puja and more cultural rituals. The dancers offer alcohol in six different chalices to the Earthly deities. You get a chance to know the fundamentals of Buddhism and its culture

Tengboche Mani Rimdu Festival: third day

On the final day of the festival, you can observe the traditional mystic cultural program and the end of the Mani Rimdu festival. The monks perform various dances based on deities and demons. The dance is also called Fire Dance and is an offering to the fire god and to the gods of Mandala. The dance prays for peace and prosperity in the world. Afterward, the Sherpa people dance all night.

Trek from Tengboche to Namche

After enjoying the Mani Rimdu festival, you say goodbye to Tengboche and head back to Namche. The descending trail takes you to Phungithanga. After some steep ascends the trail goes straight until Namche. You are accompanied by splendid views of various mountains throughout the journey. You also come across the largest Mani wall in the Khumbu region and after a short walk, you arrive at Namche. Overnight at lodge.

Trek from Namche to Lukla

The trail descends from Namche and goes through the pine forest and crosses the high suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi. You walk along the river to reach Jorsalle and then cross several bridges before reaching Phakding. From here the trail ascends and descends and eventually takes you to Lukla. Overnight at lodge.

Lukla to Kathmandu by flight

In the morning, you take the flight back to Kathmandu. Our company van will receive you at the airport and take you to the hotel. You can visit some of the World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. In the evening, you can enjoy the nightlife in Thamel or explore the market for some souvenir shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Final Departure from Kathmandu
