Classified as a “Trekking peak” by the NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association), Mera Peak presents an opportunity for aspiring climbers with moderate climbing experience. While previous climbing experience isn’t mandatory, certain sections of the ascent require the use of ropes, ice axes, climbing boots, crampons, harnesses, jumars, and other technical gear.
