The journey begins with a long but picturesque drive from Kathmandu to Phaplu,near Lukla, via Salleri or Phaplu. This road trip takes approximately 12–14 hours, depending on road conditions, and winds through dramatic landscapes featuring terraced hillsides, river valleys, traditional villages, and dense forests.
Phaplu to Surke drive 7-8 hours drive than you’ll start your trek on foot, reaching chaplung village after Lukla in two days. From there, you’ll follow the classic Everest Base Camp route through famous Sherpa villages such as Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Gorakshep, eventually reaching Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and Kala Patthar (5,545m)—the best viewpoint for Mount Everest.
